Shaun's Cricket Bat

New movie prop! (Guess it's a bit of a Halloween teaser) Love the Pegg/Frost/Wright movies, so I wanted the cricket bat from Shaun of the Dead. Bought a $15 dollar bat on ebay, removed the stickers, sanded the thick paint off, stained it, painted on the new decals by hand (borrowed heavily from the jpeg on the replica prop forum but changed a couple details to more closely mimic the movie), and added some bloody details with acrylic paint and fake costume blood. Time to take on some zombies! Remember: remove the head or destroy the brain.

Here's a close up detail of the new decal I painted onto the wood (post sanding to fade/age it)

  1. At Western Sports Centre we have a specialist Cricket Bat repair and restoration service centre helping you salvage your favourite cricket bats. No job is big or small so why don't you contact our specialists and get that repair done as soon as possible as once crack appears, it will continue to get worse, and eventually the bat will have to be replaced.
